Matched late last year, thus the Christmas photo, Robin recently shared with us how life has changed with PADS Pecan by his side.
“Since receiving Pecan, my black Labrador Retriever service dog, in November 2023, the impact she has had on my life has been nothing short of remarkable. As a quadriplegic, Pecan has seamlessly integrated into my family, radiating affection and warmth to everyone she meets. Beyond her unwavering companionship, Pecan’s assistance with various tasks has been invaluable, allowing me to navigate daily activities with greater independence and ease.
However, Pecan’s significance extends far beyond practical assistance. She has become my steadfast companion, providing comfort and emotional support during both challenging and joyful moments. With her by my side, I feel empowered to venture out into the public sphere, confident in the knowledge that I have my own space, marked by Pecan’s reassuring presence.
