Piper was a joy to help raise for two weeks! She’s such a sweet, calm girl who sure knows how to relax even in a new environment surrounded by strangers.

Piper had her first ever experience on the public bus with us, and was already a pro! Took her a few tries to learn how to best manoeuvre into place under the seat, but she stayed calm as a cucumber and quickly took to her usual state — relaxing!

Piper also got some off-leash experience and had a blast playing with other dogs on a woodsy trail, but didn’t get too excited! Her recall was still solid and once back on leash, she mostly went back to her usual loose leash walking self, which is to say: being a good girl.

The only part about hosting Piper that wasn’t pain-free would be how she almost takes your fingers off when taking treats from your hands! She’s quite good at not begging for snacks, but when she does get her treats by hand, she sure doesn’t discriminate between fingers and food.

Lastly, I’d like to mention that Piper is a cuddler at heart. As we shared, she loves to relax, and never more than when relaxing with a human friend. She’s perfected being gentle in this area at least!
