Piper IV is wondering what happened to the warm weather and sunshine. Why is so much water falling from the sky? And why is there slippery, crunchy, cold stuff on the ground some mornings? Brrr!

Luckily, Piper loves water, and not much fazes her; aside from the very exciting prospect of encountering other dogs! She has adapted nicely to waiting patiently for regular foot wipes, towel drying sessions, and being generally muddier than her first six months.

Piper is working on settling at the many minor hockey, soccer and volleyball games she attends each week. She likes to watch and cheer sometimes, rather than chill on the floor as her humans would prefer. She is also trying to figure out what to make of someone learning to play the trumpet in her house?!

November provided an opportunity for Piper to hang out with another busy family. She adjusted well and enjoyed some long walks in the forest with her hosts. Apparently, the socks at other humans’ houses are just as interesting as the socks at home.

On the training front, she is working on her sit mechanics as she sometimes prefers a rock back to a tuck sit. She loves to perch and chin, and her recall is good, except when a really fun dog wants to play.

Piper is done with November, and ready to take on the holiday season! Bring on the twinkling lights, decorations, musical concerts, shopping excursions, parties, wrapping paper, and if we’re lucky, maybe even some snow!
