February, 2025

Snow at last! Did you have as much fun in the snow as me? Snow everywhere and so deep, and so great to run through it, when it’s light, white and fluffy! I remember this from when I was really young and now that I am taller, I can dive under the deep snow and come up with my face covered in cold snow. Yippee!

This month, we were part of the PADS group at the Invictus Games. What a great event to see dogs and their people from all over the world come together. At one point, there were 5 children patting me gently while my raiser fed me treats. Wow, did I feel like a star! After a while, It got pretty hot so we went out into the hallway of the Convention Centre, and I got to stretch out on the cold floor and cool off. That was so much better! We’ve been dancing a lot to Viva la Vida since then.

Did you feel the earth shake on February 21? First, there was a very big noise, like a monster truck driving through the kitchen, and then everything shook. My raiser checked to make sure I was OK. Wow! That was definitely a first for me. What was even better was when I found out our Earthquake Preparedness Kit/Grab and Go Bag was filled with my dog food, water, my leash and some of my favourite toys, all for me – I approve!

I got to go to a watercolour painting class. Everybody was so nice they even wanted to paint me or pictures of me, not really paint me! Apparently, I was really well-behaved and just got to lie in my bed quietly. Afterwards, we went outside, and there was this big hairy thing that didn’t move, and I had my picture taken beside it. I’m still trying to figure out what it is.

Well, I better go. I can hear noise from my food bowl.
