What a busy month, where do we begin?!
At the beginning, when we started a two-week puppy swap. Puppies get to experience new environments, while raisers get to practice their skills with different pups. Puzzle went to the home of one of his youngest classmates, charming their humans by asking them to hold Benebones, his way of bonding. A young adolescent stayed at our home, reminding us of Puzzleβs tricky teenage times and how much he has matured.
The big event of the month, of the year, was PADS Graduation, a celebration of dogs who started their careers or breeding in 2024. Puzzle thought it was a party and was most eager to say hello to the working dogs. Until the presentations started and he joined the others in settling (mostly) quietly. Since Puzzle was being recognized and rewarded as a 2024 graduate for breeding, we couldnβt fault him for whining when he spotted one of his girlfriends.
Puzzle suspected that change was afoot when equipment started disappearing from the humanβs desk, followed by some of our puppy supplies. Until one day, when we went for a walk to a new place where, lo and behold, there were the missing items. Puzzle explored the new space, posed for his obligatory first-day professional photo, and decided the office was not very exciting.
Do not let Puzzle convince you that it was a month of all work and no play! He enjoyed off-leash romps with friends (although he prefers drinking water over playing in it), a few rendezvous with ladies, and lots of rest.
