The start of Fall is a time to get back to school, work, routine, and early bedtimes.
But we didnβt get the memo, our calendar was full!
Puzzle went to Whistler with sitters and met new friends. He and PADS Huckle went to a BC Lions game. Puzzle doesn’t mind noise and crowds, but he does not like to settle in public places. He was determined to watch the game until conceding that the home team was losing badly. Only then did he lie down. We went to a comedy show, but as he struggled to be still, he almost became part of the entertainment.
On the other hand, Puzzle is very chill at home. As the human works from home, he lies close to the desk, dressed for work as if he were in an office. He sleeps through the human’s chatter on phone calls and virtual meetings.
Puppy classes have been extra exciting as we meet new people and puppies. Once we get past the initial chaos, he tries hard to engage with and please his handler. In one of our classes, he was doing so well with his movement patterns that we took our practice to the trails. PADS people are sneaky. We let puppies think they are getting a break to play and be silly, but we disguise a few lessons.
Unfortunately, Puzzle took his class in body handling a little too seriously and decided to practice being examined by professionals. He had to go to the vet for the first time and is spending the final days of the month quietly as he recovers from an infection.
