This month has been so BUSY! It turns out that humans like putting scary statues and inedible bones in their gardens, and they hand out delicious-looking treats which I cannot eat. (how rude) What is even more alarming is that the same people dress up in all sorts of costumes. I didn’t want to be left out, so I also wore a costume! I was a Roan Shark. My raiser says that it was a joke because my name is similar to Loan – though I have no clue what they are talking about. Regardless, I was a VERY convincing shark. I’ve been told that it’s good practice for me to be exposed to the weird and creepy, so we stopped in lots of decorated front yards and even visited Spirit of Halloween. I met robots, clowns, spiders and some other monsters – but I was brave and wasn’t at all phased. The next big adventure of the month was going to IKEA! My raisers have never looked happier than they did while passing by people through the furniture. I was on my best behaviour, practicing watching in tight spaces, walking by a shopping cart and not trying to pick anything up. Aside from the big outings, I’ve been on more off-leash walks as well as walks in more crowded and distracting areas. My raisers and I are still working together to be the best team ever, but there is still so much to learn. The final update is that as of two weeks ago, I am 64lbs. Papa Cleat is 80lbs, and one of my most recent sitters was sure that I’d hit 75lbs – we will just have to wait and see!
