What a joyful, smart pup Rundle is! She had a good foundation when she came to me at 11 weeks old and is building her skills every day. She is LLW very well and will ignore sticks and pine cones most times on walks, but if she sometimes can’t help herself will drop the item when asked. We are working on people/dog distraction when out on walks, as the excitement when seeing another dog or person can be just too much for her little puppy brain to handle.

Rundle loves her crate time and sleeps through the night like a champ. Her house manners are good as she can be trusted to move around the house freely and rarely touches anything she shouldn’t – that being said, all shoes must be stowed away or put up out of reach! She is an opportunist and will definitely grab any that come available; in that case, we make a trade for a toy.

We are practising out in public every day in her vest and will frequent the gym, grocery store, pet store, garden center, hardware store, golf course, etc. She is learning the protocol while in a store and mainly stays focused throughout the visit.

She has full command of cues SIT, KENNEL, DOWN, BED, PERCH, HERE, RELEASE, BETTER GO, THIS WAY, LET’S GO, WAIT and CAR. We are working on shaping SIDE, HEEL, STAND, GO IN, CHIN, HERE (out of the car).

She will go on to another raiser next month, so I look forward to seeing her progress at puppy class. Good luck, Rundle, you got this!
