Russell II spent three weeks with me, and he was wonderful, well-trained puppy. He often sought attention, but his excitement was endearing. For the past six months, he has shown exceptional problem-solving skills and a remarkable ability to respond to cues, even for low rewards such as kibble. Russell learns quickly during puppy class. He is such a well-behaved pup and never hesitates to go to his kennel. Russell absolutely loves splashing around and getting muddy, but he’s not too fond of having to sit still to be dried off.
I walked through Downtown Vancouver with Russell daily, and keeping him engaged was easy. He enjoys sniffing around on walks, practicing his loose leash walking and working on ignoring distractions (with a bit of help with a kibble reward.) He is also quick to try new surfaces. He is such a good Dog! Russell had a nice off switch at work; he came to the office every day for three weeks, and he was loved and very well-behaved with all staff members. BC MMHA made him a PowerPoint for being with us. Russell is a friendly and affectionate puppy who loves attention and uses his chew toys to release his puppy energy. Russell was a beautiful, kind, and loving gift from PADS to me, my roommate, and the Vancouver staff of the BC Ministry of Health and Mental Health.
