Meet Mary-Jo and PADS Scramble, who she calls Angel. This dynamic duo were matched last November—hence the Christmas photo—and are doing great!
We recently caught up with Mary-Jo and she was delighted to tell us about her experience with PADS and update us on her and Angel’s life together.
“There are certain people, places, and situations that may occur in life, which have the capacity to transform, elevate, and most importantly, affirm what we all hope and wish for—the goodness in life and humanity.
PADS—the organization, the people and my new working dog, belong in that special category. The integrity, thoughtfulness and high standards of PADS, the trainers, the people behind the scenes, the volunteers and especially the dogs is remarkable. even, noteworthy.
Having been matched with my second service dog this past November, no longer are the tasks of daily living without arm and hand functions a barrier, my Angel loves to help me out there! Of course, her helping me is not the only benefit she offers: the joy of companionship, connection and security of her devotion and loyalty are rare things, that position or money can’t buy.
My deep, gratitude and appreciation for all of the people and efforts that go in to making this remarkable relationship a possibility, for those of us lucky enough to receive it.”
