This month, Shah met up with his buddies PADS Astro and Blazer at the Calgary Farmers Market. This was one of his first big public outings, and he was thrown in the deep end by going with other dogs. It took him a few minutes to find his stride, but he settled in and remembered his manners. He settled quite well under a table for 30 minutes but then decided this was boring and wanted attention.
Both Morley and Shah attended the RCMP Veterans Association Golf Tournament in support of PADS. Unfortunately, the rain prevented anyone from golfing, but they had a great time getting muddy and meeting a lot of fun people.
Shah is proving to be a thoughtful little puppy when it comes to training. He doesn’t like making mistakes, and if he is unsure, he is learning that it is alright to try something rather than just sit there. To help him with this, we are making sure that he knows a skill thoroughly before moving on to something else. This allows him to have skills that he can fall back on in times of uncertainty.
