Spring has finally sprung out here in Calgary – which means that a beautiful day is often followed by snow. We are doing our best to take advantage of the good days and get out to the park to stretch our legs and our recall skills and on the days where there is more inclement weather, we are focusing on our hearing dog skills like alerts to sounds and public access test skills inside of the training center. Of course, SHALE does not mind what the location we are training in is if there are plenty of treats available.

  • Skills being learned: Door knocks, fire alarm, key drops, public access test skills
  • Recent field trips: Marlborough mall, off leash area
  • Possible behavior challenges: Nothing to note at this time
  • Advanced training location: Calgary
  • Potential career path: Assistance Dog

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Shale!
