Sheen has had an exciting Christmas, staying with sitters who live near the woods and the beach. He has loved walking, training in the forest, and playing with other dogs he meets. The woods are not all just for fun. Sheen has been practising holding his “Sits” and “Stands” cues as well as ‘Jump On’ and ‘Perch’ in this high-distraction environment.
His favourite trip is to the beach – he loves water of any size, from muddy puddles to oceans! There are always dogs to play with at the beach.
Christmas is a busy time for going out, so Sheen has been to stores, coffee shops, restaurants, other people’s houses, church, concerts, and has entertained people at home. He is very comfortable under the table at restaurants and coffee shops.
Sheen didn’t much like one concert around Christmas where the lights were out, and there were the sounds of hand bells ringing and somewhat unusual, howl-like music. His handlers shared his low opinion!
He is very relaxed at home and loves to cuddle and sleep when not practising his cues. He often soothes himself to sleep by mouthing and sucking on his favourite stuffie! It is a very endearing trait! He is a perfect house guest.
