Shimmer’s nickname is “Shimmer Cat” because she shares some characteristics with cats. The best of both species! Shimmer is so affectionate, and her love language is physical touch. We are working on taking all her skills on the road as well as working on her distraction around dogs running after balls in the park. She finds it particularly exciting! This past month, she spent a week with kids at school with her advanced sitter while I was teaching clients. She enjoys all the attention, but her priority is always the handler, and she likes to stay close to you, which makes her an excellent candidate for on-call retrieving.
