This month has been exciting for Skippy; he has started his journey in Advanced Training! During his first week, he spent time on the Burnaby campus being assessed and meeting new furiends. There were times when he would get overly excited and bark, but after a quick nap in the crate, he could reset himself. He loved playing with his brother Waffle and showing off his excellent skills. He was very excited about being around other dogs, but with some handler support, he could refocus and re-engage with his handler.
While Skippy is out with a long-term sitter, they will be working on his adolescent behaviours and his excitement around other dogs. Skippy is going to school with his sitter every day, where he quickly settled in and started hanging out with students!
Thank you to everyone who has supported Skippy!
