Sprinter has had a busy May! For the first weekend, she joined Margaret and Val on a PTSD Service Dog training retreat to gain experience with different handlers so they could get to know her better. It was exciting and tricky at times having other dogs around and having fun working while it wasnβt her turn. Once back to class on campus, Sprinter worked on settling with Ashley as a familiar handler while other dogs worked, and handler familiarity seemed to be the key for her to relax. Sprinter continues to polish up all her skills and is very close to her pre-placement testing. Paws crossed for good news soon!
