🐾 Hi friends. Stetson here! 🐾

This month has been full of fun and learning. Meeting up at the mall with another PADS puppy for some socialization practice turned out to be a great learning opportunity for me. Being that close to my puppy friend was very exciting, and my tail definitely had a lot to say! I needed a few reminders that it’s much easier to take everything in when I stay calm—even when I’m feeling extra wiggly.

I also reached a big milestone this month with my very first visit to the off-leash dog park! From the moment I arrived, I was ready to explore. I showed how well behaved I can be and got along great with the other dogs there. I loved running, sniffing all the exciting smells, and chasing other puppies around the park.

The agility equipment was impossible for me to ignore. I couldn’t help running through the tunnel, confidently going up and down the ramp, and even giving the weave poles a try. It turns out I really enjoy testing out my agility skills!

I’ve also been working hard on using my manners at the entrance to the dog park. I used to get very excited and want to rush ahead so I could get in faster. Lately, though, I’ve been practicing waiting politely instead of pushing forward, and I’m learning that good manners don’t stop the fun at all.

On top of all that, I’ve been working on my grooming skills, too. I started out brushing my teeth with a finger toothbrush, and now I’ve graduated to a grown-up brush—which makes me feel very official. It’s going pretty well so far! I also tried a bath at the pet store since I’m over 50 pounds now, and too big to be lifted into the tub at home. I didn’t love the bath this time around, but I’m a brave pup, and I’m willing to give it another try!

Overall, I made great progress this month and had a lot of fun along the way. I’m learning that calm choices, good manners, and new experiences help me do my best—and I’m excited to keep practicing, exploring, and growing next month (tail wags included!). 🐾🐾
