I had so much fun in August! It started off with attending the Pride festivities at the North Vancouver Shipyards. I got to attend with many of my North Shore PADS furrends, and we dressed up and were good ambassadors.

My hooman finished work at the beginning of August, so she took me on my very first boat trip. We went up the Sunshine Coast to Garden Bay, where I got to swim and sun tan every day. After that lovely vacation, it was back to work, and I attended a PADS Puppy Days event to show interested community members how great raising a PADS puppy is. My mama, PADS Louise, was in attendance, so of course, we had to have some snuggles.

August was filled with many trail romps. Many of the PADS dogs with jobs were on vacation from work, so I got to meet up with them and they told me all about working life. I got to learn about their PTSD, AFD, and mobility careers and what I may be interested in. They all assured me they love their jobs, and their hoomans are great! One of my trail romps was a small family get-together. My mama Louise, Uncle Norquay, and half-sister Hara got to meet up and play together. We all look very similar and have similar personalities… oh, and big ears! This summer, my Campus Canine furrend and half-brother PADS Wrigley decided that the pet life was for him, so we had a final sleepover goodbye. I am going to miss him so much, but I know he is going to make his furever family so happy.

As I get older, I will do more testing to become a working dog. I did my adult GDBart this month and was a very good boy. They took my photo at the end for an important PADS person, so I made sure to wink at the camera for extra cuteness. At the end of this month, a new buddy joined my home. PADS Jones is in advanced training, and he now stays with me on the weekends! I am starting to really like him, and I think he likes me too. We sleep together, eat together, play together, and train together. Every weekend, he comes home and tells me about all the fun training he did during the week. It makes me even more excited to get to advanced training in early 2025!
