September brought a return to routine for Tattor and her family – but not without a bit of fun to ease the transition! We squeezed in one last camping trip to close out the season, where Tattor conquered Tunnel Mountain without hesitation. She strolled up and down Banff’s Main Street like a pro, taking in the sights (and smells!) with her usual calm and curious energy.

Tattor also made a special appearance at the annual FSHD Walk & Roll in Calgary, where she soaked up the attention and proudly supported another incredible organization doing meaningful work. She’s always happy to lend a paw for a good cause!

In training, Tattor continues to show her love for carrying things around – so we’re channeling that enthusiasm into purposeful behaviours like “chin” and building value in a designated toy. The long-term goal is to shape some confident, purposeful retrievals. We’re also working on increasing her duration in “down”. Tattor is always ready to move on to the next exciting task, so slowing down and settling is a valuable skill we’re building.

When she’s off duty, Tattor has been loving fall’s arrival – especially playing in the leaves and romping with her chocolate lab friend from the neighbourhood. All in all, she’s transitioning beautifully back into a more structured routine and continues to bring joy (and some excellent snuggles) wherever she goes.

Until next month!

PS – Can you spot the rainbow in one of my photos this month!?
