This was a big month for Teddy II as he moved to Advanced Training! Teddy has a wonderful personality and loves to be near his people. He is a clever guy who loves to learn and tackle new skills.
This past month, we polished up his understanding of heel and side and where he should position himself in relation to his handler. For fun, we started working on rear-foot targeting. Moving away from re-enforcers, food, and his handler was challenging initially, but he caught on after a couple of sessions. We went to the river a couple of times, and Teddy strongly declared that he was not a water dog. He would get his toes wet for the promise of food, but that was as far as he was willing to go!
I am so happy to be a part of Team Teddy and will be rooting for him as he enters the next stage of his PADS journey. His future is bright, and I am excited to see what he decides to do! Good luck, sweet Ted!
