Happy Spring Everyone!
April was a bittersweet month as it signals the last full month I get to spend with my puppy raisers. In May, I will be heading off to a sitter while I wait for a place to open in Advanced Training.
This month at puppy class has been spent continuing to polish up my cues by adding duration and distraction. We did an exercise where all the pups had to hold a down in a line while the humans took turns walking over us like a K9 ladder. A few months ago, none of us could handle being stepped over, but I’m pleased to say that ALL of us pups were able to complete the exercise without moving! Yay!
I‘ve been continuing to go to school twice a week and mum is always proud to hear how well-behaved I am and what a difference I make to the kids. Luckily the sitter I’m going to is still in the Okanagan which will allow me to continue my school visits until I head to Puppy University.
Finally, my last month, also happened to coincide with my Uncle Tiller’s 5th birthday! We had a small party with cousin Released PADS Caddy complete with a photoshoot and, of course, treats. I’m going to miss hanging out with them, but mum assures me I can come back and visit anytime.
Enjoy the spring weather, and don’t forget to stop and eat (I mean smell) the flowers along the way!
