Hi friends!

My last month in puppy raising has been so much fun! It started out not so fun with my recovery from my surgery, but I was so excited to be back to long walks, running, and playing with my puppy friends once I healed. I continued going to lectures with my raiser and mom says I am always an absolute angel in class. I also joined my campus canine friends at a photo shoot with the UBC women’s volleyball team.

I got to play with my best friends Wrigley and Taj so many times. We also went on outings to shop for Halloween costumes, to the pumpkin patch, and to a restaurant where all three of us fell asleep under the table together. Mom was so proud of me and how far I’ve come with my settling and excitement around other dogs. Taj and I also went to Build-A-Bear and got to make our very own stuffed animals.

Then, to get in the spooky season spirit, I did a ghost photo shoot where I had to wear a white sheet over my head! Mom also carved a pumpkin to look just like me. For Halloween, I dressed up as the roller-skating Ken from the Barbie movie. I wore my costume to puppy class and the Halloween campus canines meeting, where I painted a pumpkin with my paw and got lots of love from the club members.

As I’m a grown-up good boy, I’m polishing lots of my skills and mom says I’ve gotten so good at important things like settling, loose-leash walking, and refocusing when I get distracted. I’m still learning, but I improve every day!

I’m heading to advanced training next week so I went to my last puppy class, and last club meeting, and will be going to my last university lecture on Friday. Mom has been giving me so many cuddles and taking so many pictures of me. I think she’ll definitely miss me when I leave. I had a photo shoot to celebrate my graduation from puppy raising (and human university).

This is my last pupdate in puppy raising, so I’ll see you all next month with an update from advanced training! I’ve had so much fun with my raiser over the last 14 months and we will both miss each other a lot. I hope my transition goes smoothly and I’m sure I’ll make so many new puppy and human friends in advanced training.
