Jumping into June already, I can hardly believe when people ask me how old Valentino is, that he is 19 months. My goodness, that saying that time flies by when you’re having fun is 100% accurate.

We kicked off the beginning of the month with a visit to a local Indigenous Celebration in Okotoks. It’s the first one the town has ever hosted, and it was spectacular. Drumming Circles, traditional dancing with breathtaking traditional dress. Tino took it all in his stride and was happy to pose with some performers.

The G7 summit was a highlight, along with CPS and their specialist units, the Canadian Army and the RCMP, were strategically positioned in large arenas around Calgary. Callie and Valentino were HUGE hits, providing 4 days of welcome distraction, during the long hours of being on call for the servicemen and women. Sorry, Callie, but Valentino with his amazing ability to have an entire room laughing and delivering just what everyone needed.

With our regular seniors tea parties, school and hospital visits, we ended June with breakfast at the “Chuckwagon Cafe”, and then a fabulous drive out into our stunning Canadian wilderness for a walk and to dip our toes into the river, and take in the beauty of our surroundings.

So many training opportunities and new experiences to ensure this amazing boy is ready for Puppy University.
