The beginning of the month was more low-key, continuing to encourage Tino to stand from a sit and maintain it. He had the opportunity to stay with Viv whilst her dog Asti was in BC doing her advanced training. Tino visits many different schools, but this time, he was there for a full day. He managed the transition from short visits to a full day and periods of staying on his bed longer than normal during the day with me. A great training opportunity, which Tino was amazing at.

A visit to see the seniors for their St Patrick’s Day tea party, practicing polite greetings and resisting the urge to clean up dropped treats and crumbs.

Tino had the opportunity to do what he does so naturally and that is to sense a person’s stress and sadness, and he provided a distraction for Police Officers who had attended a tragic car accident. They enjoyed his contagious personality and interacted by feeding him treats, in return for puppy-love hugs and fun.

His last two visits were at the children’s ICU and Calgary 911.
Finally, we continue to explore new experiences such as the agility dog park, new indoor experiences, and our local library and recreation centre.
That wraps up our March adventures. Permission is given by the people in the pictures.
