Zuby was with us for about 4 weeks. We took her with us to many places. She got to ride on the skytrain, seabus, as well as the bus. She was very good each time. She was so well-behaved while waiting in a very long lineup to get on the Seabus. At least 45 minutes. She went on quite a few walks where we did training with her to focus more on us than on other dogs & people. Of course, other dogs were more difficult for her than people. But holding her attention with treats helped a lot.
Zuby even visited a Christmas house display that was quite large, with a lineup to get in & she did really well.
She continued to get training while in our care, focusing on settling into her bed. She learned to go into her daytime kennel and relax, which she seemed to enjoy.
She’s now potty-trained and will let us know when it’s time. Zuby holds it very well during the night and sleeps right through.
Another thing we were working on with her was sitting nicely before she was fed. She is doing really good with that. We also use a snuffle mat during some of her feedings so she doesn’t eat too fast.
Oh, and Zuby lost 2 teeth. She has come a long way and is such a wonderful little pup. She does learn quickly. She is also good with cutting her nails, but treats help too while doing them.
