Alanna Cooper & Dave Prenoslo

Alanna Cooper and Dave Prenoslo started volunteering in August of 2017 after having met PAD Sunny at a PADS Okanagan event at the Starlight Drive-in. They caught the puppy-raising bug and have never looked back. They are currently raising their fourth dog, PADS Talbot and have sat many PADS puppies-in-training.

Alanna and Dave have also shown they have amazing PADS spirit in the many ways they have supported others in the PADS community. From providing a place for staff or volunteers to stay while transporting puppies to lending a helping hand to PADS clients, to helping me set up and tear down at multiple events (when they were allowed) throughout the Okanagan.  They have always been eager to provide support where and when they can.

Puppy Class Instructor, Nicole, experienced their hospitality when she needed a place to stay for transporting puppies from Calgary to the Lower Mainland. Not only were they happy to take in 3 puppies and a dog in Advanced Training, but they also eagerly helped by taking a middle-of-the-night puppy toileting shift!

Alanna and Dave also played a huge role in raising funds for PADS Okanagan by securing sponsorships from Telus & Scotiabank.  Alanna having most recently received a donation on behalf of her team at Scotia Wealth Management, that enabled them to name a PADS puppy – and it was very exciting for them to name said puppy Scotia II, who is being raised in the Okanagan.

We thank them for their continued support of all things PADS Okanagan and their desire to see all aspects of the program grow and thrive.

They are well deserving of the Spirit of PADS award for the Okanagan for 2020.
