We breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

Team Camilo is making a splash on Vancouver Island ๐ŸŒŠ

PADS Camilo has been spreading his โ€˜Miloโ€™ magic as part of the Victim Services team in Port Alberni, Tofino, and Ucluelet. His partner reports that he steals the show at community presentations, and his ability to attune his demeanour based on each situation he faces is astounding. His supportive nature has impacted so many, and weโ€™re incredibly proud.

What a shred-tacular turn out! In spite of the rain, our Burnaby Shred event last weekend was a total success. Together we shredded a whopping 4,390 kilograms of paper and raised an incredible $7,000! โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿ“„

A big thank you to everyone who turned out on the day - our volunteers, supporters, and our wonderful sponsors @uirecycling and @winniepakrealtor ๐Ÿ’™

She doesnโ€™t know it yet, but this puppy could grow up to change the life of a person living with PTSD ๐Ÿถ
ย
June is PTSD Awareness month. Since 2018, weโ€™ve been raising and training dogs to support first responders and veterans through our PTSD program. These dogs are trained to pick up on early signals of stress and anxiety, and interrupt these symptoms before they escalate. Our clients often report how much their world opens up once they have a PADS partner by their side.
ย
Weโ€™re proud to help remove barriers for people living with PTSD, and to continue to break down the stigma around mental health.
ย
If youโ€™d like to learn more and help support the PTSD program, head to the link in our bio.

The first Sunday in June marks Canadian Armed Forces Day, a day to celebrate the contributions of Canadian military personnel, past and present.

PADS Towhee and PADS Pip, along with all the PADS humans, would like to extend our gratitude to all who have served with the goal of building a better world. We're proud to serve those who have served us, and to be able to provide life-changing service dogs for veterans so that they can feel safe in a world that they've helped to protect.

We'd also like to thank organizations like the @legionbcyukon and @tplfoundation, who share in this work and help to make our mission possible.
