Meet Swell. Earlier this year Swell earned his blue vest in his role as an Accredited Facility Dog.Β
Swell was whelped in the Lower Mainland by the Doherty-Dong family where he and his siblings were already being set upon a path to be resilient dogs with a love of learning throughout their life time.
When he was old enough he traveled to Calgary to meet his raiser Teresa. Teresa worked to build on Swell’s natural talents, to teach him the basics of house manners, obedience and socializing him to all sorts of new environments and experiences. Swell stayed in Calgary for Advanced Training and worked alongside his Advanced Trainer and his Advanced Sitters Gloria and Linda to learn the skill he would need to excel at his job. Swell was sponsored throughout his puppyhood by Glenora Doherty.
We are so proud of Swell and everyone who has worked to help this sweet boy grow into a confident pup ready to shoulder the responsibility of helping his clients. He couldn’t have made it to his client’s side without the work of each and every one of you.Β
