Bee has been making great progress as a working dog! She’s been accompanying her raiser to university and attending classes, where she’s been well-behaved and received lots of love from the students. Although she’s not quite ready to be in class full-time, she’s doing an excellent job in big, public spaces, walking well on her leash, and showing great manners. She’s been to the post office and grocery store, where she acted very appropriately.
In addition, Bee has been working on her off-leash skills in controlled environments and has been doing wonderfully in the woods, displaying good recall and a keen sense of exploration. She’s been practicing on a long line and has now transitioned to being off-leash, where she’s been joyfully leaping around and running.
Furthermore, Bee had an interesting experience visiting the local municipality dump, where she was fascinated by all the new smells. At home, she’s been learning to settle outside her kennel or X-pen and has even fallen asleep on her raiser’s feet a few times. Additionally, she’s been practicing being a companion while her raisers do chores, sitting on her bed and observing them as they go about their tasks, with lots of encouraging treats.
Despite her high energy levels, Bee has shown significant growth over the past month and is transforming into a caring and pleasant companion. She’s well on her way to becoming an amazing service dog!
