In December, I got to stay in the Olympic Village while my mom and dad were away! There were so many “first times” for me: I had my first heat, I saw snow for the very first time in Whistler, and even had some epic snow zoomies. It was amazing to feel the fluffy cold stuff under my paws, and I couldn’t stop wagging my tail!
Once my heat was over, we went on more adventures, and I got to experience the beauty of the North Shore parks and Pacific Spirit Park. My sitters kept saying how impressed they were with my long leash mannersβI made sure to stay nice and close, even though I was so excited to explore every new scent and sound. I felt proud to make them smile!
PADS Fiddle came visit us for a day (she is in Advanced training now!) and we had a lot of fun playing. I was so tired the next day though, not sure why!
We also visited restaurants and cafes where I practiced being calm and collected while people ate and chatted around me. It was a bit tricky at first (so many delicious smells!), but I quickly learned that being a good girl means keeping my focus. I even went to Best Buy, grocery stores, and the libraryβso many different places, and I was told I handled them like a pro! It was a big month of learning and growing for me, and I can’t wait to see what new adventures are coming next.
