Hi everybody!
November was a really busy month for me! Dad has been teaching me how to do Stand and Settle. I’m usually pretty quick at learning things but these two commands are taking a while probably cuz I don’t like to stay still for very long. Dad took me for shots at the BC SPCA Hospital and I didn’t even flinch…it was a breeze! And I had fun helping Dad rake leaves in the backyard and I passed the Facebook “Leave It” Challenge!
I was a real help to some students who were studying for their Christmas exams. Dad took me to Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus twice and to Douglas College in New Westminster and they de-stressed by petting me and giving me lots of attention…therapy is loads of fun. I spent some one-on-one time with Margaret, the PADS trainer, and she gave Dad lots of good tips on handling me…I guess I can be a handful at times 🙂
I had lots of company this month too. I got to meet Orca and Briar when Dad picked them up from the airport. They came from California and are going to be PADS puppies now…just like me! And my big bro, Verdot, came for a sleep-over and we played like crazy in the snow. That was the first time I’d seen snow and it was lots of fun! I had a sleep-over away from home too, with PADS puppy-sitter Pam…I really like her.
Dad had me write a letter to Santa too. I asked for more snow (cuz I loved it), more peanut and salmon treats (cuz I love them), and more chicken flavour toothpaste (cuz I love that too). And I asked Santa for more donations to PADS so they can help raise more service dogs like I hope to be. I think maybe people could give donations to PADS instead of giving Christmas presents…isn’t that a good idea?!
I have to go now…Dad’s gonna take me for a walk. I sure hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a very happy New Year’s!
