Russet loves having his little brother Trek to play with. Trek is now 4 months old and weighs “half a Russet” so he can keep up with us on our off leash walks. We have been working on loose leash walking to send in a video for Virtual Grad this month. Russet did great with checking in and keeping pace with me. I have been taking Russet with me for longer shopping trips and for appointments that would be challenging for a young puppy like Trek. Russet takes his work very seriously and people comment on how focused he is on me while we are out.
At Zoom puppy class, we talked about the importance of doing regular checks of our dogs to get them used to handling and for early detection of skin issues. Part of the exam can be done with the dogs on their backs, which is a great position for trimming nails.Β
