March was all about theatre performances and work events, and this month was the same but much bigger and noisier! We went to the French presidential elections at the Vancouver Convention Center, the West Coast Amusements Park, the Festival du Bois for a full afternoon, and the Canada Sevens for an entire day – yes you heard me, I spent 9 full hours at BC Place cheering (ok, I was sleeping most of the time) for Rugby teams that I didn’t even know existed. Have you been? I strongly recommend it, and not just for training purposes 😉 The crowd was on fire, the games were fast and lively, and the food seemed fabulous…I personally just stuck to my kibbles, but the smells were divine.
I also spent time with a couple of sitters. You see, my hoomans got sick at the beginning of April, and to avoid being as miserable as they were, I went to spend time with Sitter Lady Caroline for a weekend. I then went to my good friends, former PADS Sprout & cat Ruby, for 2 days. I had a blast and scored some fun adventures.
Lastly, it wouldn’t be an honest puppy report if I didn’t tell you about my little (but older) new sista’! Luna, a rescue cat, came to our home at the beginning of March, and we all wondered how it would go. It is stressful at times, but everybody tells me that I am the best doggie sister ever. I am patient, loving, and very respectful. We took it very slowly, but we now walk, feed, and do puzzles side by side. We cuddle and nap together and are even trying to play with each other – this is still a work in progress since my paws are triple the size of hers, and I was told that I can’t use my mouth to gently bite her.
I am happy even though sometimes I get confused and don’t understand why she is allowed so many liberties, and I am not allowed to do anything 😉 You should see her climbing & jumping on furniture, playing with tiny little toys all over the house, passing the kitchen threshold, and guess what, she even gets to sleep with my hoomans in their bed. This can feel so unfair at times, but I am adapting and understand that my purpose in life is so much bigger than being a pet. So I’ll keep focused and enjoy the love that I get from everyone in my home.
