May brought some excitement for Slick in the form of a little puppy named Cliff who came to stay with us! There are few things in this world that Slick likes better than people and dogs (except maybe kibble). Slick has been navigating life as the more mature puppy and has been doing very well. At times, he finds it hard to control the impulse to revert to little puppy behaviour, but watching him learn to make good decisions has been very gratifying.
With the warmer weather, Slick has spent lots of time going for walks and to our local off-leash park when his new puppy friend is sleeping. When Cliff is awake, they spend time playing in the backyard together. Both of them have been learning how to stay calm around each other in the house, which is not an easy task when they’re active, excited puppies!
