Darwin August 2014 2August was a slow month for Darwin as one of his puppy raisers was recovering from surgery. With a slower pace we used this opportunity to work on lengthening his Sits and Downs and gaining more confidence in traveling in a car or on the bus.

We also went to the PNE where we got to meet goats, sheep, cows and many other farm animals. For a city dog such as Darwin, he handled himself relatively well – however we did not care for the little black sheep that tried to stare him down.

Darwin’s goals for September are to continue working on his loose leash “Let’s Go” and to increase the duration of his Sits, Downs and Stands.

Submitted by our fantastic PADS Volunteer Puppy Raisers, Meredith & Henrik Areskoug.
