ABOUT PADS

PADS dogs are raised and trained on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

We acknowledge the importance of these lands and their history. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.

We breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

Introducing our first litter of 2025 - the Royal Canadian Legion Litter 🐶 We're thrilled to announce that proud parents, PADS Towhee and Puzzle, welcomed five beautiful puppies last week. PADS Mobility dogs are trained to provide practical support for their clients, and, often, their work goes much deeper. An unexpected barrier that people who become disabled may face is a feeling of isolation. For Mary-Jo, being partnered with PADS Scramble (whom she calls Angel) changed everything. "The social aspect is remarkable. When you're paralyzed - it's an odd kind of thing - but for some reason people feel like they can't touch you. Like they might break you.
