Benny spent much of July trying to avoid the heat. Going to places with cold floors where he could stretch out, became one of his favorite activities. He also enjoyed some shady forest walks and was happy to find a refreshing pond to cool off in.

Every day is a training day for Benny even when he’s walking in the forest, in fact, this is a great opportunity to focus on dog distraction and recall. As he sniffs in the bush, it takes a lot of effort for Benny to ignore other dogs in the area and obey his commands, yet he is noticeably improving in this area.

At eleven months, Benny is a big boy of about 75 pounds. Although he is growing up quickly, he is still very much an adorable puppy at heart.
