July was vacation time for Betsy. She got to meet lots of new dog friends and went on adventures up mountains and to car shows. She even made a new cat friend. Betsy loooves cats; in fact she loves everyone. One might call her a social butterfly. Places like the car show (oh and she also went to a dog show) are challenging for dogs like Betsy who want to make friends with everyone, so we are doing a lot of work on keeping her focus on her person/handler.
Along with focus on her person, we are working on plenty of skills like perch, sit, down, stand, heel, side, and remaining calm in exciting situations.
