During August, Britton enjoyed many outings to the dog parks in our area, including a few visits to Trout Lake for some paddling. We continue to work on loose leash walking with Britton. The addition of a gentle leader has helped greatly curb her desire to lurch off to the side to sniff all the interesting smells. We have begun giving Britton ‘sniff’ walks during which we walk on the ‘Path of Many Sniffs,’ and she is allowed to sniff to her hearts’ delight. Britton settles really well on her bed and will often run to her bed during the day, especially if she thinks there are treats involved. She has also learned that there are many treats to be had, if she settles on her bed during (our) dinnertime.
