CADENCE got a fancy new harness to play with this month and she is practicing moving around various spaces and doing all the skills she has learned so far with the added gear on her body. Cadence is working on strengthening her retrieve by practicing retrieving unusual items outside and locating and retrieving a walking can. She is also learning some new skills to specifically help a client balance or stand from a seated position. One of these skills involves tugging on a specially designed rope while her handler holds onto the other end. This will help Cadence’s future client balance and stand upright from a seated position.
