CADENCE has spent this month working with Margaret on various service skills and particularly enjoys tug! She is progressing well and is starting to get the hang of some of the basic skills like β€˜button’ and β€˜tug’ to open the fridge or other doors. When she is not training with Margaret, she is spending time with various advanced training volunteers to practice and maintain her basic obedience and public access manners. Cadence attended Remembrance Day ceremonies this month and represented PADS very well during the solemn events. During her downtime, Cadence loves to snuggle with her people and also enjoyed some playtime in the park with PADS puppy-in-training Jewel. Cadence is setting a good example for Jewel and is helping her learn all about the importance of a speedy recall!

  • Skills being learned: β€˜Tug’, β€˜button’, β€˜push’, retrieve basics, sharpening basic obedience
  • Recent field trips: Various field trips with PADS advanced training staff and volunteers.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Separation anxiety.
  • Potential career path: Service

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Cadence!
