The month started great with Cana’s brother from another mother coming to stay with us, and then Cana and PADS Scooby swapped raisers for the day. Cana went hiking… and then, like many of her pup pals, Cana contracted ‘kennel cough.’ It’s a highly contagious cough, so we spent time away from other dogs. We did lots of indoor training – working on perch skills and collar cues… and then Cana got surprisingly sick. On the heels of her cough, she got bacterial pneumonia. So there was lots of downtime in November!
