This month I had the chance to accompany my trainer to visit a hospital several times. The trip in a car to the hospital is always a challenge as there are other dogs and smells that distract me. However, I was on my best behavior once I entered the hospital. While at the hospital, I practiced elevator routine, as well as kept engaged with my trainer while roaming through hallways.

People looked at me, identified me as a PADS dog, and drew many smiles. I also behaved well while my trainer visited the patient. I think that I even gave some comfort to the patient while he dealt with his sickness. He preferred to look at me than looking at the nurses that were poking at him. All nurses were happy to see me too.
