Dax has learned to walk off leash this month and is quite reliable at checking in and displaying appropriate social behaviour with other people and animals. Dax is willing to ignore high distractions while off leash if asked in exchange for a moderate reward. He has also learned the touch command to an open palm. Dax is working on getting his back legs on a target. His humans are working on car and door protocols and understanding ‘shaping’. Consistency although key is not always ‘how they roll’, but they are improving. Dax spent the second half of the month with puppy sitters (Mary Amos) while his humans went on a spring break vacation. The visit went well. The sitters described Dax as “the best dog ever!” We fully agree but suspect the sitters love all their four legged friends just the sameΒ ![😉]()
