Two things you should know about me. One – I love food. I know what youβre thinking, βYouβre a Lab. Of course, you love food.β But I REALLY love food! Two – I love to train because there is alwaysβ¦you guessed it – food! My ideal day would be if I could just train all day. Teach me anything! I will learn it all! As long as kibbles are my reward.
Iβm trying to train my people to be my constant personal food dispenser. I try everything; sit, stand, down, shift to one side, then the other, nudge their hand, lick their clothes, and give them puppy dog eyes. I try it all! Oh sure, sometimes I get kibbles, but I know they have more. (Iβve seen the huge bag!) However, apparently, I need to work on relaxing. They want me to find a toy or just lay on my bed. Do you know how hard that is for a 4-month-old puppy who just wants to eat all day??? Really hard! I do think Iβm getting better though. My kennel is a pretty nice place to hang out when I need a rest, and often kibbles will get thrown in there with me as a special treat! Win-win!
