December was an out of the ordinary month for me. For many reasons.
My raisers where home more so than usual, and we went to many different places. We went shopping a lot more than usual. We went visiting a lot more than usual, too. One of those trips was to the aquarium. There were many different smells there. At one point, we were looking at the sea otters and one of the sea otters noticed me, and jumped out of the water. If there had not been a glass partition there, we would have been nose to nose! I would have liked to jump in and play, but that was not going to happen.
We also went to Burnaby Village Museum. I met many people there who wanted to pet me, some were dressed funny.
The cooking smells in the house were different, too, I don’t know what was up with that.
My raisers hauled a tree into the house and put lights and shiny things in it, maybe the cooking had something to do with that. My big brother told me they do this every year. He told me in his first year he thought we finally got indoor plumbing for dogs, how civilized, but apparently he was mistaken in that notion. He told me that there would be gifts under the tree, and extra goodies for us, too. He was looking out the window waiting for them to come. He told me they would be real good, just like the cooking smells. He was right, it was quite something. Afterwards there was paper everywhere, that was maybe the best part.
