Hickory has visited a few friends’ houses this past month with pet small dogs and cats. He has done well after a period of time to adjust and be in a sit or down and settle. Even when the other pets are in his space and coming up to him to check him out or try to get him engaged, he was awesome at ignoring them and staying in a calm down.Β
Hickory adjusts to new environments of all kinds, including new houses, community environments and even multiple vehicles. Hickory even spent 18 hours overnight on what should have been a 3-hour drive home from Invermere to Calgary, but the weather suddenly changed, so the highway was closed, and we were trapped. He took it all in stride but was very happy to see the rest of the family and be fed when the highway was finally opened!
