For the month of April, I was at a sitter’s as my raiser went away on holiday. I was staying with a family with 2 teenagers, 1 cat and 1 dog. I was so busy this month. I went to the White Caps game and helped set up the PADS booth. I got to visit so many people at the game, and then I went to watch the game – well, I tried, but I was so tired that I fell asleep. I even stayed asleep when the White Caps scored, and everyone was yelling and cheering!!!
I got to meet AFD PADS Puma at the New West police department, where I met a bunch of police officers for their session of learning more about PADS.
I went to the elementary school almost every day, dropping off and picking up 2 small kids that came to the house. I also went to the high school to see where the 2 teenagers go that I was staying at. I even went to Douglas College to listen to a musical theatre competition where one of the teenagers was singing in.
I went grocery shopping at Walmart, Superstore, Save on Foods and even Costco. I went to the dentist and orthodontist, and the weird noises didn’t bother me at all – I went to sleep while I waited. Sometimes, I got a pup cup treat at Starbucks and Tim Horton’s – those were my favourites. My family said that I was always so good when I went out!
I got to go to work sometimes at an office building and also to some locations where there were adults with developmental disabilities – they all came to say hi to me and asked me when I could come back. Sometimes, I had to go to some work meetings -they were boring, and I slept through most of those. I had so many adventures at my puppy sitter’s house this month!!
