βIt was instant love,β says Cherry describing when she and Kevin met Macleod last March. After 21 years in the military, Kevin suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. When he learned that service dogs are helpful they applied for a VIP.
βHe is with me 24/7 and he is fantastic,β says Kevin who keeps up Macleods commands and takes him everywhere. βHe has a calming affect. When I have anxiety, I feel more relaxed just because he is with me.
βKevin just puts his hand on Macleod and he smiles, he is much happier,β says Cherry adding that Macleod is playful with them and when their grandchildren come to visit.
