Hi Friends,

I said in my last Pupdate that April was going to be a busy month. It started with mom & dad going to Cabo, I went to sitter Robin. He’s a teacher, and I spent my days in the classroom with little ones. This was my first exposure to being around kids, Robin said I became an expert listener when they read to me.

Another new experience for me was going camping, and I had fun especially because PADS Chantilly lives with Robin & Karen, and we would play and then share a bed, as we got along great.

Awesome news, as I was scheduled to go to advanced training on May 6th,  however, I get to stay with mom & dad for a few more months, and we’re all sooo happy. Mom says we need to work on some things like not getting too excited or distracted around other dogs.

Dad’s family from back east came to visit, there was a big get-together, and I didn’t go, so I spent the night with my sitter, Marcia. Marcia took me to Sasamat where we met up with some other PADS dogs. PADS Waffle & I had a really good play.

Dad’s sister and her kids who are 15 & 17 stayed with us, and mom explained how they had to be with me and they were good, and Noah loved playing tug with me. I tried stealing their socks, but they caught onto that pretty fast. We went to the mall, the kids wanted to shop, they thought it was pretty cool I got to go with them.

Mom took me to Rocky Point where there was a Dragon Boat Festival, it was crazy down there, with 40 teams, and lots of people watching, we weren’t quite prepared for it so we didn’t stay long.

We kept up with our training at pet stores and malls and we met with PADS Captain for a walk around Como Lake. Mom took me to a park near our house where part of it is off leash so I get to run and then I walk on leash through the forest, mom says it’s good training for me, she practices my recall and my loose leash walking.

May is going to be another busy month, mom & dad didn’t think I was going to be with them, so I will be going to a sitter a couple of times. I’m good with that, as I always have fun at sitters.

Looking forward to May,

Maia
